UNLOCKED is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the most vulnerable individuals of our time, particularly those involved in the food production system. We aim to transform every project into a catalyst for change, inspiring structural reforms and conscious choices.

ENGAGEMENT
We believe deeply in the power of connection. For this reason, most of our projects are developed in collaboration with diverse networks, associations, collectives, and local communities.
Our primary partner is the network established to continue the work of Giulia Innocenzi’s documentary.
Together, we promote investigative journalism dedicated to exposing the critical relationship between animal agriculture, lobbies, and politics.
Through technical and strategic efforts, we promote the network’s projects across social platforms and national and international media.
We analyze findings and produce the essential content required to publish the investigations.
We train and support undercover informants who gather crucial imagery to support the development of our work.
We have developed collaborations to analyze the impact of animal agriculture and some of the largest producers on the Italian territory.
We carried out this work with Greenpeace Italy, an organization dedicated to exposing environmental issues and promoting alternatives for a more ecologically sustainable future.
Together with the international organization, we examined the critical gap between the claims made by major retail chains and their actual operations across Italy, particularly at various production facilities.
The analysis revealed significant consequences for both public health and the environment.
For years, they have dedicated themselves to telling the stories of animals through photojournalism and video, with international investigations that reveal the complexity of our relationship with them.
We collaborated to investigate the controversies of battery cage farming for laying hens, contributing to the largest global campaign ever realized.
In cooperation with the Open Wing Alliance, one of the most significant international coalitions dedicated to abolishing cages in farming, we developed a project that exposed critical findings within the Italian territory as well.
This audiovisual exhibition tells the stories of farmed animals and the industrial structures in which they are confined.
Hidden // Borders is a UNLOCKED project created by investigative reporter Animal Prospekt, who has dedicated years to documenting animal exploitation, and art director Marco Soellner.
The project has already been translated into multiple languages and exhibited internationally. We are committed to keeping access free; therefore, every donation helps sustain the project and bring it to new locations.
